Well, I said I was going to use the site for journaling so that I could keep in touch with you and tell you what’s going on. See, I write to slowly and edit too obsessively to have a new story for you each week. This is especially true now as I’m trying to finish a couple of longer pieces then edit some others to have a bunch of original content for my (hopefully) upcoming solo record. I mean book.

So, what’s been going on?

I guess first and foremost, I got tired of being fat, tired, and in pain all the time so I went on the diet where you stop eating food. Well, not really. For the past three weeks, I’ve been eating primarily meat and leafy greens, but mostly meat, and with the exception of the fact that there’s hardly anywhere to have lunch that isn’t either crap or very expensive, it’s not been that bad. I’ve lost close to fifteen pounds in three weeks, which is pretty good. It’s a bit more than I expected but I had it to lose and could stand to lose a bit more.

I also attended Comicpalooza this past weekend where I got to meet some awesome people as well as sit on a panel with some very talented horror authors. It’s always nice when people you respect invite you to be a part of their thing because they respect you also. We also did a live version of our show from the floor of the convention center, so it turned out to be a pretty good day.

Comicpalooza is really the starting gun for my event, Scarydad’s Haunted Halloween Show in September. I’ve begun working on some concept art and teaching myself some photo editing because it’s better to learn a new skill whenever you can.

I finished one story and am about 4/5 of the way through a second for an upcoming anthology, so that’s some writing I can tell you about. It’s been…

This year has been weird. Ever since February when the kid was sick, and then everybody got sick, I feel like I’ve been off the rails and just have not been able to get back on the tracks. Every time I sit down to write, there’s some new task or old chore that needs doing and it just never seems to pan out that the pages get filled. It’s driving me nuts if you want to know the truth.

But in the end, I’ll get everything straightened out. I always do.

Thanks for reading and I hope to see you back real soon.

Goodnight,

Billy
